Through Compassionate Performer education, hands-on performance training and specialized workshops, we provide learning opportunities that build greater awareness, confidence, adaptability and care.
Friday, February 26, 2027 | Compassionate Performer Workshop
Understanding Needs. Responding in the Moment.
Two distinct sessions. One shared purpose: helping performers become more aware, adaptable and prepared for the unexpected.
The day brings together specialized guidance from Children's Healthcare of Atlanta to help performers better understand the needs and experiences of children and families. Later that day, internationally accomplished improv instructors Amber Nash and Kevin Gillese will lead hands-on training focused on active listening, adaptability, staying present and responding naturally when interactions take an unexpected turn.
Together, these sessions help performers strengthen both their understanding of the people they serve and their ability to respond with confidence, flexibility and care.

Saturday-Sunday, Feb 27-28, 2027 | Christmas Performer Workshop #3:
Turbo Charge & Vignettes
Building on the foundation of Christmas Performers Workshops, CPW #3 puts performers into carefully designed vignettes based on situations they may encounter throughout the season—from home visits and corporate events to tree lightings, media appearances, and unexpected conversations. Through filmed exercises, guided evaluation, and supportive peer coaching, attendees will gain a clearer understanding of how preparation, timing, body language, adaptability, and character choices shape each experience.
This is an active, hands-on workshop where performers can experiment, recognize opportunities for improvement, and develop skills they can carry into every engagement. Attendees will leave better prepared, more confident, and ready to deliver stronger, more memorable performances.

Compassionate Performer Symposium
Coming Early 2028 | Three-Day Educational Experience
Building on our Compassionate Performer Workshops, The Sleigh Society is developing a three-day symposium that will bring together performers and leading experts from healthcare, education, senior care and other specialized fields.
Through educational sessions, interactive learning and practical applications, the symposium will explore the knowledge, awareness and skills needed to create compassionate, inclusive and meaningful experiences for children, families, seniors and others performers serve.
Our goal is to make specialized education more accessible to the performer community while continuing to expand the conversations, connections and learning opportunities that began with our workshops.
